Case Studies

I led this project, which involved collaborating with 12 distinct teams at FamilySearch to begin replacing a pivotal software product. Once completed, this initiative will culminate in an astounding 443% enhancement in image processing efficiency.

FamilySearch's need for a streamlined and efficient indexing approach has become increasingly urgent, with an expanding repository of historical artifacts comprising billions of images. So, we collaborated with the PRImA, and I designed management and operational processes for machine learning.

Senior leadership spends considerable time and resources overseeing and reflecting on initiatives within FamilySearch. I was selected to join a team to develop an internal dashboard that would unify the organization and facilitate informed decision-making.

I received incredible support during my internship at FamilySearch. However, there was no standardized onboarding experience for UX interns, so I developed a comprehensive one for new interns.

The You Need A Budget (YNAB) application and methodology can be challenging to grasp, leading individuals to cancel their subscriptions and seek alternative budgeting solutions, or even discontinue budgeting altogether. So I revamped the "help" section of the YNAB application by implementing a point-based system aimed at incentivizing users to familiarize themselves with the YNAB method and software.

As a YNAB subscriber, whenever my priorities shift, I utilize a Google Sheet to assess their compatibility with my budget. However, updating my budget entails spending hours ensuring accuracy and alignment. I decided to design a built-in sandbox that allows users to experiment with their budgets and then change them with a button.
